Description
The Department performs a significant role in helping build Australia’s resilience to natural disasters and seeking to better understand the types of risks the Australian community face. In doing so, the Department also recognises that one of the most significant challenges facing Australia in emergency management is its ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from severe to catastrophic disasters. Consequently, the Department constantly strives to explore through leadership, education, training and professional development, creative and innovative ways of improving the nation’s capability in this area. The Department is committed to ensuring that this vital work continues into the future.

The Department will be conducting an industry briefing concerning the RFT. Details of the industry briefing are:

Attendance at the industry briefing is optional; however Potential Suppliers are encouraged to attend.
Conditions for Participation
The Department will exclude a Tender from further consideration if at any time before a contract is executed the Department considers that the Potential Supplier does not meet the following conditions for participation:
a. the Potential Supplier exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time
Timeframe for Delivery
The resultant contract is expected to commence on 1 July 2015.
