Position description
Job Summary:
In this role, the Registered Nurse must be able to utilize standard hospital equipment related to patient care and transportation; equipment will include Cardiac Monitor, Pulse Oximeter, endoscopy equipment and surgical equipment. Candidate may assist with orientations and the supervision of Medical Assistants, Endoscopy Technicians, Transporters and Volunteers. Candidate must be able to make sound judgments and be able to demonstrate an ability to solve problems independently. Candidate must be able to prioritize and recognize the needs of the patients and physicians. Additionally, this candidate must be able to follow orders and continually evaluate the quality of care provided.
Requirements:
· Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure in New York State.
· Minimum of three years of medical surgical experience; Critical care experience required. Endoscopy experience preferred.
· BSN preferred.
· Candidate must have BCLS and ACLS Certification. PALS preferred.
· Excellent communication skills required.
· Candidate must be able to lift and position patients on endoscopy stretcher and transport patients.
