Rolls-Royce has an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in Control and Data Services in Birmingham.

We are in the process of establishing new purpose-built facilities in Birmingham, to ensure we stay at the very forefront of our industry and to ensure we deliver world-class products for our customers and a world-class environment for our people.

Working with Value Stream staff main purpose of this role is to reduce waste through process improvement, better compliance and robust methods. In addition it is to provide Manufacturing Engineering Support directly within the Transformation and New Product Introduction teams (NPI), creating, verifying, proving out and stabilising part transfer using live data.

Key Accountabilities:

Support CNC shop issues for a variety of milling & turning machines using Delcam Powermill and FeatureCam.
Laser Welding, CNC Machining (5, 6 axis) and Lathing.
Support, fixture and programming of ABB masking robot.
Design and manufacture of any fixture requirements to support on-going production or NPI.
Regularly review Value Stream processes to ensure continuous improvement. You will also support Variation Management, NPI, Transformation and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Project teams where required.
Respond to Engineering Change Requests in the value stream, and work with Engineering to implement.
Support new machinery capex requirements.
Maintain manufacturing instructions and ensure that operators are trained in their use and create and complete Concessions / Permits for internally manufactured parts, completing a Root Cause and Corrective action (RCCA) process where possible; maintain manufacturing instructions and ensure that operators are trained in their use.
