Position description
Our client, a manufacturer and distributor of quality residential kitchens, is currently seeking an experienced General Manager to manage the entirety of the Company’s daily operations. The incumbent will oversee, and be accountable for, all business activities, in consistency with the company’s budgeted objectives and labour laws, and for employee management and development.
Major Responsibilities
Executing the company’s business plan;
Managing all business activity;
Managing and maximizing the company’s financial performance, and identifying and implementing strategies and programs to increase sales and maximize profits;
Ensuring organizational objectives are executed in accordance with given deadlines and budgets;
Creating, implementing and directing the administration of business practices and policies; and ensuring they are lawful, ethical and in compliance with all labour laws;
Overseeing the maintenance of the company’s facilities and assets;
Developing and directing all employees, and leading them in the performance of their duties to ensure they successfully meet the expectations of their positions, while promoting employee engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Goal-oriented with superior leadership and interpersonal skills;
Outstanding verbal/written communication and presentation skills;
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business administration preferred, or appropriate related experience;
General management and leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
